Just got my hands on a Minolta Magicolor 2300W, which is an A4 laser printer.

Is there any way that I can get it to print longer than the standard restrictions set by the supplied driver ?

We are printing number plates and need to go up to 520mm. The custom sizes on the driver are 356mm.

I know that there is an LG sign printing system now on the market that is an A4 printer but with the software will print up to 1.2 metres long. However it is £1000 + vat and it has a weird system where it needs to print onto laser graphic film.

    Cheers,

    Hi Carl

I don’t think you can do that with a Minolta. The only printer I think that will print banner style is from the Oki range. Can’t remember which one but possibly from the 6000 range??

Have you phoned Minolta in Slough to see if they can help.

    Regards
    Lee
