  • Mimaki software issue, please help?

Posted by Nils Enmarch on 17 June 2009 at 16:09

    Hi guys,

I’m a total newbie who has just purchased a Mimaki CG60SR plotter which is great. I had downloaded the Mimaki trial for illustrator and all was working great. Now the trial has run out and it won’t let me use my plotter! It simply says " Your trial has ended please purchase the full product edition".

Now I am all for purchasing this software – but it fails to say where from! The Mimaki Japan website just has the trial version and the update. The update when I try and install it keeps asking me for the original CD omy previous version which I don’t have. Can anyone help me by pointing me in the direction of where I can physically buy the software? Or can anyone recommend a decent retailer where I can buy it from?

Any help offered would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

You can’t buy the software – it comes free with Mimaki plotters. Did you get
a disk in the box? If you did, you need to insert it for the updater to verify
that you own a copy. Not sure what you need to do if you didn’t get a copy –
maybe contact your supplier, or the person you bought it from.

Hmmm, no didn’t get a copy of the disk with the plotter. So there is no way to buy it on its own? Pretty gutted about that.

Maybe try and contact a supplier who sells the plotter and see what they can do.

    Thanks for the quick reply!

I am sure if you contact a supplier and you can give them the codes etc from the actual machine you have for them to check, they will in the end sell you the software.
