  • Mimaki printing stickers, then Contour Cut. advice please?

    Hi

I’ve got 10,000 10cm square labels I need to print and contour cut. I don’t want to tie up my Roland printer for the cutting so plan on doing them on my Mimaki CG-FX160 cutter.

I’ve never contour cut on it before and managed to get it to cut one sample sticker ok from the run.

Question is what is the best way to print them and get them cut? I can’t seem to find a way to get Versaworks to print say 500 of them and then get Flexi (this is what I designed the files in) to contour cut 500 of them?

Do I need to create artwork that contains all of the 500 stickers or am I doing something wrong?

    Any help please guys.

    Thanks

    Peter

Sorry I don’t use this software.

But when we screen print onto clear we have to make 2 files. 1 a print containing image and reg marks and 1 a cut file containing only the reg marks and cut line

We break the amount up into smaller number, say 100 stickers, so we would do 5 runs to make 500

you need to put two separate cut lines one for contour and one for half cut do all your contour cutting first, then set the plotter to half cut and make sure on the software you use that you set the conditions to "use plotter condition" especially on the mimaki.

i cant think of an easier way to describe this sorry if it makes no sense.
