    Hi Guys,

Just a quick question to see if were he only ones to have this issue.

We recently purchased some rolls of the MD3 for a job. For flat panels it’s great and lays without bubbles great.

The issue I’m having is when we try and print and cut with it no matter how much I reduce the force and the blades setting I can not get it from cutting too deep and lifting the backing when trying to lift of the vinyl from the sheet. Many meters of vinyl and still no luck.

Heads up, Roland and new cutting strip.

I have used MDP which is a treat to work with but thought I would ask before not using this again for print and cut.

Thanks for the replies in advance.

What happens with test cut? Possibly an artwork error?

I use Metamark all the time and I’ve never had a problem with cutting too deep after changing from ritrama (don’t hate, never again) I didn’t need to adjust force etc.

Don’t wanna state the obvious, but checked blade depth?

Crazy thing is I have to literally adjust the blade so it’s at its minimum otherwise the blade holder just rubs against the vinyl.

Force at 30, had Roland tech visit couple of times but they suggested cutting strip replacement which I did.

I’m just wondering is it the MD3 as I don’t have issues cutting MDP or anything else.

Just want to see if anyone else has had issues with the MD3 as I don’t want to change as the team at Metamark are great.

    I personally haven’t used MD3

I know my mate was using it with no issues.

I always buy MD5A now as it’s such a great product and not very expensive in comparison to others.

Ask your metamark sales rep for a sample, and see how it compares 🙂
