  • Metamark M7 adhesive – help needed, please?

    Hi All,

Got a call form a client about vinyl that i installed on Sunday, their seams to be inconstancy in the adhesive. The vinyl used is Metamark M7, I laminated the brown vinyl on to black vinyl (both M7) to block out the light form the light box. The opal sheet was cleaned with M3 cleaner then wet app with Rapid tac 2. Could it be old stock that was sent to me and the adhesive degraded (I only ordered it last week. :banghead:
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Seun.

Looks like the wet application was not totally removed and once its weathered the liquid used has pooled together. Simple test would be to pierce one of the bubbles with an air release pen and press down to see if moisture comes out.

    Hi
unfortunately that is wet application fault, liquid is still under the surface wet app can also cause the glue to de-laminate from the material. You may be lucky and it will dry out

It’s not left over app fluid, pierced the vinyl nothing came out, took the vinyl off nothing but adhesive. I though using a good quality app fluid would not cause the adhesive to de-laminate? :shake:
