Bet it says somewhere on the tin "test in an inconspicuous area"!

Is it 100% safe on factory & repaired paint for cars as I’ve had a few ropey resprays turn up that LOOK amazing but the laquer / paint clouded as soon as I wiped it over with IPA? (requiring a fair bit of buffing before customers turn up).

I think they do work but you will go through a lot of wheels which are not cheap.

Sounds like one of those jobs to avoid you have there.

Yes, we have an air one.

Work great on removing very sticky vinyl and reflectives and the double sided tapes you get on the back of most vehicle badges.

The trick is dont apply too much pressure on the same spot or will tend to slighty burn the paint.

For large area’s they can be time consuming and very messy but well worth having around.

you can also get the electric ones too

thanks guys! Have tried Hexis vinyl remover but it just wont dissolve them! They have been utterly baked on! Jon definitely one to avoid!!!!!

We have an MBX. Gets very little use apart from what has already been said. Great at getting reflective or small text off but I would say that it definitely isn’t the tool for getting a wrap off.

We have one but its great for small text or reflective but no good for large pieces.

Having been repairing vehicles for far too many years to count, I’ve seen these in action!
In the right hands, they are fantastic for moderately stubborn decals / stripes. Not so good for large panels.
And in the wrong hands, you may as well use a 4" grinder and be prepared to respray the vehicle!! Seen a few free-of-charge repaints done because of this..

ive used something similar, its called a caramac wheel what i used, it definitly removed all the graphics but created a lot of mess and if you werent carefull you can easily damage the paint underneath, i also use an adhesive remover which i buy from a local car body repair supplies its a lot cheaper too.

Any bodyshop supplier / factors can sell you adhesive removers, just be careful that the solvents in them aren’t so harsh they take the paint off too!
Tar & Glue remover is a generic term for something that’s a good compromise between strong solvent / glue dissolver and paint friendly.
