This is why I either never comment or give my opinion when the UK is put down or complained about. As somebody who has come from "the other side of the tracks" I know how good it is here in many aspects. I fear daily for my family who still live in Durban and my nephews are are growing up there.

Today’s news from my home town Durban,

rant over, proud (and happy) to be in the UK.

correct in both accounts Nigel, beautiful country which I miss but they sure are trying their hardest to destroy it, it will be the same as Zimbabwe in the next 10-20 years.

it’s extremely sad to see it going the way it has. looking at my dads old photo’s from Kenya and SA from the 50’s and before independence, they were beautiful places, now it’s all bloody tribal feuds again. they’ll never ever have peace in africa i’m afraid, life is just tooo cheap out there.

Know how you feel fella, I live in Ireland now and would love to return to Blighty, the way the media portray Uk drives me mad, Its always put down, put down.
I don’t get it, things arn’t that bad. If people want to know what bad is they should try running a business here.

In fairness, not quite as horrendous as the situation Warren is talking about Adrian. At least here we have decent Guinness and got rid of Terry Wogan to some place. 🙂

I didn’t mean to be flippant, you are quite right on all counts.
