    Hi all,

We have just been asked if we can produce some magnetic signs for the side of a contractors van, can anyone advise us on a good quality magnetic sheet or roll, what the best prices are and where to get it.
We have never had to use this stuff yet and we are not sure wether you can get good stuff or bad stuff!!

    Cheers Folks. :lol1:

We have used Paperco/Europoint and Victory Designs, both have been fine. For vehicles I would recommend using 0.85mm …. it does come in different thicknesses.

There are different grades of magnetic material, make sure you buy automtive grade. It’s thicker and more durable than the stuff you might use for fridge magnets ( and also a bit more expensive).

Your vinyl supplier or printed media supplier should be able to source it for you, but I’m sure somebody on the boards will know a decent supplier.

    Cheers for that peeps,

Carrie, don’t want to sound cheeky but how much do you normally pay, we have found some in the Grafityp Catalogue and it sells at around £8 per meter, is this about right 😕

    Cheers 😀

I have just looked in Victory catalogue and its £10.25 per 1-5mtrs. 😮 Paperco is about £8 per mtr. Grafityp is not a bad price … I have never used their mag material, but it will probably be just as good as everywhere else I should think??

Thanks alot for your replys, we have dealt with both Grafityp and Europoint before so we will do as suggested and start haggling.

For those of you who have used this material, is it any good. How long is it expected to last?

    Great help cheers.

We did quite a few for a local transport company over two years ago and they still look fine now. I think it also depends on how the customer looks after them aswell … we give a magnetics care instruction sheet out with all mag signs we sell.

I thought there was one on here before but can’t find it.

    Cheers
