hi all, wan’t to print onto a fairly light grey t for a design my daughter drew, can i use the ttc3.1 (light garment) transfer paper for this, or will it have to be the obr (dark) ?

    thanks.

TTC will work but the colours will just be dull and obviously any white will be grey. The effect is much more subtle. All the dark parts will be fine though.

    thanks Colin,

not sure whether to risk it or not, there’s lots of colours involved, and the only white will probably work ok if it’s a little grey, just don’t like the obm finish as much, hmmm!

it’s only a t-shirt for her own use, so i might try ttc on the front and obm on the rear!

    thanks.

    Go for it Hugh,
If as you say the image has a lot of colour it will be fine, just not as bright as it would be on white. Personally I have never been a lover of OBM and would avoid using it if at all possible.

well i went the obm route on my girls T as a lot of the colours where light, so figured it best not to wantonly waste a shirt! came out nice,

my lad has been pestering me for a shirt with the grim reaper on it for ages, i finally gave in (due to these couple of spares left over from an order) and did his with the ttc3.1, it was mostly black with a misty lime green ghostly reaper, came out ok, though as stated, not as bright as it would’ve on white. the sythe’s reflective surface (almost white in places) is showing more grey than anything, but he’ll be chuffed regardless!

my daughter has drawn loads of animals, mostly african plains and jungle creatures, so i’ve gradually been re-drawing them and adding to the backgrounds etc, i jokingly called the series "creatures by Cerys" and mentioned it to a customer of mine, he seems quite interested in trying some of the range in his shop, so i had to start trying these things anyways, everyone loves em!

    cheers.
