  • Machine position and power/network cables?

Posted by Edward Thompson on 13 January 2012 at 14:33

    Hi Everyone.

Quick question, how do you organise where your printer is positioned, at the moment out versacamm 540 is near the wall which means its a pain to get the rolls around to load the machine and today i knocked the power cable out whilst it was printing, cue my fury! (:)

Also does anyone have carpet in the room that they print in, this is causing me problems with rogue fibres and i wondered if there was a way around
this or shall i change floor coverings?

    Many thanks

    Edd

My versa art is kept about 3ft away from the wall, kind of under the stairs.

I run an extension around the back of the rip, which is in the corner, along the printer stand. Also the network cable takes the same route.

I have carpet tiles in the shop, I don’t get fluff, but dust/hair. It brushes off banners, and I use the Take up when ever I can.

best floor covering is linoleum, this stops static and is easy to clean too 😀

carpet hairs sometimes flies into the printer (if lid is up). I remember it well.

We used a lino in the end… it was great
