  • Low energy vs High energy substrate

    Morning,

Perhaps a silly question but I have never understood these two specifications.

So which boards are low energy and which are high energy?

And what does the term “energy” mean in this case? When you look at a substrate how do you know if it’s low or high?

    Thank you

My understanding of this is the is something is extremely smooth like glass it has a high surface energy whereas the likes of mdf or matt finished walls are low surface energy. Stick a piece of vinyl on glass and try to remove it compared to the same vinyl on a mdf panel. The one on glass is much more difficult to remove. I do however stand corrected
