    hi all

I’m a noob and i have a Canon W8200PG and when i print it leaves massive borders which means lots of waste, and @ £9 a square metre its foing to bankrupt me.

i have just printed a landscape to 36" canvas. the diminsions i set were 34" x 20" and it it printed it left a small borderdown each side but at least a 12" border at the top and bottom.

I could have printed the image twice on the canvas that was used.

Any ideas how i can postion the image before printing?

im not familure with the machine, so this is a guess… you may have the "centre object" on page selected?

What driver or rip is it using, in my HP driver there is an option to only use inked area, this stops the printer running out any material before or after the print even if it’s in the middle of the page.
I usually print from Coral Draw as well as the page preview is really good.

If your using a rip then it will depend on the rip.
