Looking for some advice on my pricing of this job please?
Hi,
i have already done this job and priced it. I was just looking for a bit of support from other sign makers to make sure i am along the right lines with my prices.I designed the logo and gave the customer unlimited license to use it (logo supplied on disc also).
Supplied and fitted chevrons to rear and supplied the edf magnetics for the sides. The logo was fitted to the sides, with the white part in reflective.
I also agreed to include the addition of website address when they get their website up and running.
And i am going to include another set of the small magnetics as the fountains group (edf contractors) have been brought out, so they will need to be changed to include new owners name.
There are two trucks, one mitsubishi L200 and one Toyota Hi-lux.
I charged £300 + vat for each truck.
Sorry if this is a lot to read, i was just looking for opinions on this price, does it sound about right. Too late if it’s wrong! but it might help guide me in the future.

After reading Shane Drews post on another topic I hope you never told them that the logo was all your design. I’ve used that tree before or very much like it.

thankyou Peter for your compliment on the visual and thanks all for advice on the price.Martin, the customer supplied me his own existing logo (he designed it himself) which was the top of that tree about twice the length sprouting from a circle with the letters ‘A + R’ inside it and the words ‘TREE SERVICES’ underneath.
The brief was to redesign the logo and select different fonts so that it would sit more comfortably on the vehicle etc.
The only thing he insisted was that i keep that tree and some how work it into the new logo.
I attached a new base to the tree, shrunk it vertically and positioned it with the new fonts.
I would consider this enough alteration to call it a new logo, especially to the degree i charged him for the design which was basically included in the price of the job.
I’ll try to attach the old one.

Yes thats the one. The reason I know this is I had the same as Shane on his other post in that a customer came to me to have several vans done and he said that this was his copyright as someone had designed it for him. When I pulled it out from the Corel clip art folder he was most upset.
