looking for fascia lighting advice please?
bit of a ramble im afraid…
have a job lined up for fitting on monday, simple enough, applying dibond fascias to existing wood shop front with stand off acrylic lettering. the wood fascia is built out from wall. customer has now decided today she wants some lighting. at present she has 3 gold/brass spot light things, only been up a year and heavily tarnished. we planned just to remove, fit sign and refit if she wanted. ideally she wants a long trough light, like the signlux. but we have one of these ourselves and with the sign being quite deep, number one it isnt going to light it up like "blackpool illuminations" and number two, this kind of light needs to be bolted direct to the wall doesn’t it, i can’t see how i can fit it to the wooden box that is there at present. tried to push her towardds the bullet style lighting (portland) which are still contemporary and brighter but she’s having none of it.
basically, can anyone offer any advice on what lighting to suggest to her. the trough light needs to be 16ft long, and needs to be attached to the face of the wooden box or from the top of the wood, whilst illuminating the sign which is 1125mm deep. i can’t see any hope here but as usual maybe one of you can point out a solution for me?!
