    Hey up,

I’m looking for a printable type of paper/media for use with a solvent printer that can be used as a-board poster/inserts and not get soggy.

I usually tackle this by printing on vinyl and applying to 1mm foam board but thinking there must be an easier solution to this?!

I am terrible for media names and codes, but you could try Hydrosol Print media. You can buy it with with or without a grey backed block-out finish. Normally used for things like Popup stands or roll-up banner stands, so its not like you just have to stock it for poster inserts.

Or just use normal banner material. Not as smooth or rigid as hydrosol/stay flat but doesn’t got soggy.

We use BARCELONA SILK PHOTO PP 180MIC from Papergraphics seems to dry better than the Hydrosol we used to use.

We use Metamarks PP220, it has a coating on it and have done tests myself and lasted submerged in water for several weeks, we use on poster frames without the plastic covers and last many months.

We use grey-back roll-up/pop-up media in a regular basis for outdoor A boards. It works like a charm. Of course, print with solvent.
