Looking for a ‘nice’ stencil type font – but NOT army style.
Does anyone know of any nice stencil fonts they can recommend to use that don’t look like military fonts.
The type I’m after is one like in the Banksy Wall and Piece book of graffiti in which he has a lot of text in a couple of his designs and it looks nice and scripty and almost hand written, but is a stencil (as that’s his style)
Basically, I need a font with open/not quite closed a’, e’s, b’s etc.
Here’s hoping the sign experts on here can point me in the right direction before I spend time butchering an existing font in Corel Draw.I have a design (cutout vinyl pressedonto t-shirts) that has lots of text, but I’m loath to do it in a standard font due to the weeding nightmare!

I think theres a font called “Interceptor” or “Stop”. They are modern/ futuristic stencil like fonts similar to the one that Banksy uses. That might give you a starting point.

I’m not after the font that he uses for his name, I’m after a more natural ‘flowy’ looking stencil that he has used in a few of his designs. A bit obscure I know. It’s quite a flowery/poetic font but it’s still a stencil.

Have a look at http://www.searchfreefonts.com
click on ‘S’ at right of screen then pages 50 & 51 have a few for free download.

Another free font site http://www.webpagepublicity.com There are a number of stencil fonts there.

Wow – you know your fonts!
As I posted this – I also queried whatthefont.com and the top 2 results came back as:
ITC Zapf Chancery Medium and ITC Zapf Chancery Roman 😀Although they’re not stencil fonts as such – I feel a font editing session coming on.
