Does the customer in question handle German shepherds? If so, you could take a photo of one yourself.
Just an idea, if you’re really stuck.

Our dog is a long haired German Shepherd called ‘KY’ – Cornish for Dog. I attach one photo of him – unfortunately he doesn’t normally sit still long enough to get any decent shots, however, I might have a few more at home – depends whether you are in a hurry. Let me know if you want me to try and get some others.
Do you need him sitting, lying, head shots or what? I know I have a very cute one of him as a puppy.
Brian
PS The other one’s called Gibson – right ratbag!!!

Hi All
I know this isn’t really a sign related topic, however, we had a very bad day yesterday. We lost our German Shepherd (see previous photo) called Ky to Cancer of the Nose at only 8.

So sorry to hear of your loss, I really do sympathise, having been in the same situation with three of my dogs over the years.
That really is the only downside of having pets for freinds. I hope Gibson is OK.
We lost our cat to the road before Xmas, one of our dogs found him, and she still cries every morning at 1am-the time that she found Tiger injured in the bathroom. We had to have him put down due to his terrible injuries. -
Awww bless, sorry to hear that!! We lost our dog back in November, he got run over bless him. Not nice especially when they really are one of the family, not just a pet.

Thanks for the replies. The dogs are a big part of our life, as we don’t have children. Our other dog, Gibson, knows somethings up, but keeps expecting to see him. Gibson is 8 and grew up with Ky from 6 months old and spent every day with him, so it must be strange for him.
You don’t realise how much of a big part of your life they are, until they’re not there any more.

Lost my three best friends in the last 2 years (dingo x Cattle dog, Shep x Cattle dog, and a Minature Maltese) They all grew up together with my two kids. We were one big happy family. I cried for days when each passed away.
I am sorry for your loss too.
You should be happy in the knowledge that you gave them a good life, they were loved, and they were treated as family. The photo shows that they enjoyed life and they were well cared for. It does not make the pain go away, but you should know that you gave him a better life than some.

Brian that’s sad news. I know how you must be feeling I’ve lost 4 German Shepherds over the years. Our last one, Jet was only 3 when she died of cancer. It’s heartbreaking as they are part of your family. I only have one daughter and at the moment got 2 German Shepherds who Emily calls her 2 wee brothers! They are extremely loving animals, gentle giants.
Hope your other dog doesn’t suffer too much at losing his best buddy, it must be hard on him too.
I’ve attached a copy of a poem that was sent to me when I lost my last dog. It’s a difficult read but it helps coming to terms with the loss.

so sorry for your loss Brian I expect most of us understand how you must feel, and poor gibson too as Shane has said you gave him a good life.
Marcella that poem had me in tears.Lynn 😥

Thanks for that Marcella, that poem is so apt.
As for Gibson, he’s getting spoilt rotten, but he’s still hoping and waiting for Ky to come home.

Brian, I can only sympathise. I’m glad you thought the poem was apt. It’s hard to read without the tears streaming but it does make sense.
I’m sure with all the love and attention you give Gibson, he’ll soon bounce back. He’s there to help you too!
