Hi all, designed a logo for a customer and has now asked whether i can digitise it for him to get some team wear embroidered.

Can anyone either tell me how i do it or possibly do it for me…please?

    Cheers
    Stephen

Stephen, I would have thought any one doing the embroidery would just need a vector drawing,

What software did you use for the design?

Stephen, I think "digitise" and supply a vector are the same in this case.
Embroidery works from vectors, but with a tweak to allow for the stitch size etc. (put simply) but most embroidery programs will convert from a vector,

I could be wrong, but if I am, will stick another tenner in for Children in need, without you showing a nipple….

That is kind of my understanding, the embroidery software will import a vector and then fill the desired spaces with the stitch profile/colour. Without specific embroidering software you can only do half the job i.e. save the graphic as a vector image.

    Hi Chris

Embroidery is what we do, it’s the sign business that’s new to us!

I digitize all my patterns by hand and then choose the most appropriate stitch type and colour.

Being a bit of a car freak I do quite a lot of embroidery for that market. I only started about 18 months ago when I bought my Ariel Atom and discovered the Atom Club were desperate for some embroidered clothing.

    I love doing it 🙂

    Hi Stephen

I would be certain that any embroidery company would want to digitize their own design hence I thought the request was a little strange.

After digitizing a pattern from a picture there’s still a lot of work to do.

Let m,e know if I can help 😉

    John

Here’s a few more I’ve been working on recently

    It’s true Peter 🙂

Someone in work asked for a lift home in it last week. He was sick half way into the trip and had to ask his brother to come and collect him 😮

Two weeks ago someone won an auction to have a ride in an Atom. Had to stop for a while coz his false teeth fell out. So funny.

Give me a shout if ever you’re down this way. I’ll gladly take you out.
