  • Linotype website account VAT reg number problem

    Hi

I am trying to register with Linotype to buy a font, but I keep getting this message:

Notice: Unfortunately we could not fully validate your given VAT code.

To avoid german VAT you have to correct the following data exactly as it was announced to your local tax office:

    •company name

Anyone else had this problem and know what I’m doing wrong?

I’m putting in my company name exactly as it is registered with companies house.

    Thanks

    John

Try entering your vat number instead. It’s maybe an error on the site asking for your company name instead of your vat number?

    Phil

It asks for both my comp name and VAT number. I think I’ll ring them up!

    Thanks anyway

Are you putting GB in front of the number?
