  • lighting existing panaframe sign- supplier or rec anyone?

    for a shop front…customer wants something that doesnt stick out too much…and is classy. not done anything like this before so if anyone has any pointers I would be very greatful

    I assume you want to light it from the front? If so, there are trough lights that only stick out a bit, like 5 inches or something. I’ve never used one but I’ve seen em on shops.

    Also, even ones that stick out a bit can look smart. Have a look here…..

    thank you Andy, they do look classy dont they? Nice to have you back from your hols, Cornwall sounds a great destination…I can imagine you on a surfboard.

    Trough lighting is the way to go. I hate those swan necked lights that only light up the area directly beneath the lamp and leaves dark triangles between the lights. Only cowboys use them as they are cheap.

    I haven’t used it but the mini truelight from http://www.pss-signs.co.uk/ looks nice and compact ( cross section of only 75mm )
    or I think applelec now do an LED trough light. How big is the panatrim sign, you’ll need to check what depth of illumination these systems offer.
