  • Lightbox puzzle: printed logos to illuminate on opal?

    Could somebody advise me
I need to replace perpex panels in a light box forming a 30ft X 2ft sign for a post office
The background of the sign is to be in post office green with the name in the centre in white on one end of the sign the customer wants the national lottery logo ,and on the other the red post office oval logo

My question is if I use opal for the panels and surface cover in trans’ green cutting out the name for the middle how do I do the ends ?

Can I get the logos printed so as to illuminate on opal and if so where?

    Thanks
    Terry

Correct me if i’m wrong but you have to be an accredited sign company to do Post Office signage. We ran into hassles with one customer and couldn’t do the job because of this.

Could you not cut the ovals from the Green translucent and then add colured Perspex flat cut’s? The lotto logo is easy and the Post Office isn’t too bad.

In terms of being licenced I haven’t got a clue about that but if I was in your position I would be taking instructions from the postmaster/ mistress in the branch concerned- if the Post Office or Lotto get in a strop then I wouldn’t be too worried as you are simply following your clients instructions.

Just make sure all the logos, typefaces and colours you use are bang on and I can’t see a problem.
