    Hi All.

Got a cafe fascia sign to do. The photo below shows the old fascia, and the new fascia I want to do using Andy’s halo idea with a lightbox, I have done a test with, pretty cool :lol1: . Question is, I wanted to use Tranislim from Universal for the frame which has a small return of 50mm. Problem is, they can’t do the length I need coz it’s too long(2740mm x 230mm), they can only do one with a return of 90mm. I didn’t really want something this big as I didn’t think it would look classy enough.

Anyone know of any slim frame suppliers that might be able to do this size?

Any other ideas for the sign? I thought about acrylic lettering on stand offs, but prone to vandalism because of staircase above.

Would it work using panatrim and clear acrylic and then putting LEDs behind, sort of home made light box?

    Thanks for help.

    Ali.

personally I would just go with the 90mm deep box – I don’t think the extra 40mm will spoil the look or the feel of the sign

Thanks for the reply Glenn. I will probably end up doing that, not sure whether it would look better getting the frame painted black or white, or just leaving, anyone any opinions?

Also, I have achieved the effect i’m happy with just using normal vinyl (Oracal 651), is this safe to use with a lightbox? (heat etc.)

    Many thanks
