hi folks a two part question really . I ve got a customer that wants me to re letter his light box, thats the easy bit really as he informs me it doesn’t work !! could just be the bulb but what else can really go wrong with them ? To be honest i dont really think the guys bothered has its a small box and he just really want his phone number on it however i think with a nice bit of translucent blue on it it would really look the part at night question two .. ive got a customer two doors down from this one who’s light box is working apart from the fact that the opaque is broken ….perhaps they should team up …there both in the financial business and share the box 😀 😀 would i be able to fined a company to replace that section or would i be better just to price a new box ..hmmm dont think he will go for that tho The glass is about 1000 across x 400 down and in a kinda "U" shape if you look at it from the end

    regards Brian

Part 1, Start with fuses, then tubes, then the ballast (small moulded box inside)

Part 2… opal acrylic, cut to size and slide in, Might be worth renewing on the other box too……..

Brian – can’t really picture what you’ve got there

Do you have a photo of the sign box?

most common problems are end caps not firmly fixed to end of tubes, blown tubes, blown ballast or starter motor.

Should be straight forward enough to get hold of a new sheet of opal acrylic and slide it in.
