  • LED light mod on my printer

    I have just fitted LED lights inside my printer………

    I think it looks cool and certainly makes prints easier to see.
    Considering how cheap this was to do I am surprised the printer manufacturers don’t do this themselves.

    I will get some 90 degree joints for the left over LEDs and do both sides and back inside my laser next I think.

    I had 2 slimline lights mounted in mine for the last 6 years, makes life a lot easier to see things in my dark hole of a workshop.

    My husband did this years ago when he was trailing the new at the time waterproof water based inks. No names mentioned but they were not as durable as originally wanted. He mounted a halogen bulb high heat on the side if the print head and it helped cute the ink greatly but as a secondary bonus it gave better view of the graphic when the cover was down. I always wondered back then why they don’t do this especially your idea with leds.
