Corel Photo Paint is the bitmap editing package that comes with the Corel Suite.

sorry, maybe didn’t explain correctly, its not the corel paint that opens, i use it daily but today its loading a different program – standard paint that comes with windows not corel? but i can go to windows open corel paint and the program is there which works just the two corel programs not talking to each other ?

I have the same but different problem.
As of yesterday when selecting edit bitmap I get an error message telling me to re install the software.
Which I will do as and when I get the time but if I just open Coral PP, there is no error message and everything works fine.Could it be something to do with the trial copy of X4 that I never un-installed?

Most likely Andrew. Launching PP usually launches the latest version you have ie if you are using X3 and edit bitmap X4/X5 will launch if that is on your system.
Uninstall X4 and you may need to repair your X3 installation, all should work ok then.

To add a program to CDR launcher..
go to the program you want – right click – go to ‘properties’
click ‘find target’ –
you will go to all of the program files and the ‘application’ will be highlighted. Drag that icon over the ‘launcher’ icon in CDR.Now should be able to use. Not all programs will work with X5 eg cuttingmaster
