Speak to your suppliers about which laminates they have available! It’s not something that is specific to your laminator! You will need to know if you want a monomeric or polymeric (3 year or 5 year). polymeric is best for outdoor longer term signage!

All laminated will have some form of backing paper or film

what kind of laminator is it?
where did you buy it from?
did they not give you any sort of training or setup advice?

I don’t know where these fit into Luke’s ‘monomeric’ and ‘polymeric’ catagories, but the only two over laminates that I have used so far are both from Metamark:
    MetaGuard 300
    MetaGuard 900

Both cold rolled with hand cranked rollers.
The 300 is a reasonable price, but I can see some ‘silvering’.
The 900 is brilliant, but expensive, and the minimum order quantity is quite considerable.
