    Hola all,

Can anybody give me any suggestions…….
I’ve printed some posters (on poster paper) on my Versacamm and want to laminate them BUT I ain’t not got a laminator. ‘course when I try to lay the laminate on it sticks like whatsit to a blanket, which is fine if it’s not wrinkly and it’s in the right place! So, has anybody got any tips or tricks thay could pass on (other than buying a laminator)

    Thanks all,

    Luv
    Lee

you need to tape the poster down to your work table (just touching the edge of poster) so that it is perfectly flat & won’t move…………then offer the oversize section of clear over the top (still with the backing paper on)………….then hinge it at one end with masking tape………………..lift the opposite end up & over held by the hinge………………..take off some of the backing paper …………hold the loose end above the poster but don’t let it touch……………..then squeegee it down from the hinge end.
    Then trim off the edges.
Always worked for us until we got ourselves a laminating machine.

    Hi Andrew,
I got a good deal through the uksg with a lot of help from Rob. Printmax 1650mm warm machine.
But before that i was intent on buying the "eazytaper" but even with Shanes help couldn’t get one in this country as they where only in Australia at the time.

brilliant machine (printmax) wouldn’t be without it now, but it is another big learning curve. wasted metres of material & reprints while learning.
If you do get one, give me a shout & i will tell you the easier way to learn how to operate it.

Lee, think you’ll find ezytaper have distribution based in spain.

I know the aussie inventor will be demonstrating it at the UK sign show too.

Thanks for that. That’s exactly what I have been doing, but I still managed to cock ’em up! Perhaps it’s a case of "practise makes perfect", so I’ll have a other go.

Eazythingy may be worth a look at – thanks Shane

Oh well, sticky stuff ‘ere we come……
