On Tuesday I closed the doors of my sign shop after 6 years. This year has been extremely tough year, its been feast or famine and I can’t survive like that.
6 years ago I had never seen a vinyl cutter let alone made a sign or signed a van. Thanks to you guys and good old youtube I managed to make a living – until now.
Thanks to you all and I wish you all every success in your businesses.

    All the best

Hi Ewan, sorry to hear about you closing up shop. It’s a tricky old business at the best of times. Best of luck for the future. Hope all works out for you 🙂

Sorry to hear this Ewan but you must make the right decision for yourself. Have you anything else planned for the future or are you now looking for a job instead?

Good luck in whatever you decide to do next

Where your company is based is pretty remote, i can kind of see why things have went the way they have for you. Our line of work can be difficult enough even in built-up busy towns, cities etc. so these added disadvantages will not have helped you.
All the best Ewan, was great knowing you over the years mate. Online and in person!

Cheers guys, Phil, I’m kinda unemployed now for the first time since I left school which wasn’t yesterday. I do however do a bit of freelance health and safety advisor work so the plan is to build on that and see what happens. Onwards and upwards

Really sorry to hear this Ewan, its certainly been a hard couple years since the £ went mental and materials started increasing in price almost on a monthly basis.

I wish you all the best mate and hope your find something to keep you busy and pay the bills, you have been a great help and I hope you keep in touch.

    Sorry to hear this Ewan,
as others have said, it must’ve been a hard decision.. one I’m sure many of us have considered at one time or another due to the often feast or famine nature of working alone.

All the best for the future.

    Sorry to hear this Ewan.

As Rob says, you’re in a beautiful but remote part of the country, and I’m sure that brings it’s own challenges.

Wishing you the best of luck for the future.

Wow guys, just popped in before I hit the hay. I have to say both myself and Hugh  are overwhelmed by your kind words. I’m getting a wee bit of health and safety work. Tonight I’ve been writing a safe system of work for entry into confined spaces. Who says it’s not a rock n roll lifestyle? :smiles:
Anyway, thanks again and yes I’ll keep popping in to say hello. I’m also available for any health and safety advice, risk assessments, method statements etc etc 😉
