    Hi all.

    A quick question.

I have been having some issues with grainy prints. I’ve adjusted the drying temp in my RIP, but when I went to look at the drying temp on the machine front panel, I discovered that all of my settings appear to be locked and I can’t get into them.

Effectively, I go to; Ink menu/OK/Image Quality Maintenance/Adjust Printing Params/ but when I try to select any of the menu options in this screen, I just get a beep and it stays on the same screen.

After having looked at other menus, it seems that anything that allows me to set different parameters appears to be locked. I can operate all of the defined functions (cleaning, ink/PH replacement/printing test plots etc) but can’t actually change any parameters.

Anybody know if there is a menu option to turn this ‘feature’ on or off? Lets hope that option isn’t locked as well 😉

Its been a few years since I had my 26500 but Im pretty sure the only time you can adjust params is when its printing other wise the rip controls most options and the profile controls the rest, if you need to change a media profile to a different temp you would do it with a profile editing tool ie a rip that has that function built in.

It may have been a few years, but everything you said was correct.

Just printed off a job and went into the front panel config, while it was printing, and all options were available.

    Good memory sir!
