    hI aLL,
Just upgraded our very old 5000 to a L25500 and I am having problems!
I have set up a new print queue in shiraz and configured the ip address on both the printer and rip and shiraz can comunicate with the printer via status update.
Also when I type the ip address in a browser I get the printer information up.
When I do a status update it tells me in the rip that the media profiles have expired and to use the media manager to resolve??
If I try to print a job from either clients "Design" or "Layout"(signature) it wont work and I get the errors
"Init error for HP Designjet L25500 60"
    "Database parameter error"

I have called Shiraz even though they dont do telephone support and have been asked to send screenshots! Have emailed them and Im waiting for feedback>
In the meantime I have loads of print backing up and I am desperate to get the machine running..
If anyone can offer any advice It would be appreciated.
    Cheers
    Paul.

    Update:
After speaking to Shiraz via their live chat facility they were able to connect remotely to the rip and solve the issue…magic!

Hi Paul. I’ve only just seen your post. Are you not getting support from whoever sold it to you? Or did you buy direct?

Shiraz are pretty quick at resolving issues via their remote login, although I understand you just want to speak to somebody sometimes.

Glad you got it sorted, get in touch if I can help with your Shiraz in the future.

Shiraz has some of the best support I have come across.

They have helped us before with remote login on a bank holiday at 8.00pm at night! A great company!

Couldnt agree more! I hadnt realised there was a chat/remote facility untill I went on to the Shiraz wbsite..
I did get a very speedy response and the problem was resolved…
I must add I have been using shiraz for years (V5) and it has been fantastic.
    Staffiord..appreciate the offer.

You’re welcome Paul. I had to use version 5 a couple of weeks ago and I’ve forgotten SO much of it. Still a very powerful and capable tool and I still to see the odd customer running it. V8 is a real weapon though. I’m actually an Onyx reseller now as well as Shiraz and as much as Onyx Thrive has some really good features, I’m still all about Shiraz.

When I first started working for AIT all those years ago, Shiraz v2.5 had just been released and shipped on 3 x 3.5mm floppies!! 😳 :lol1:

    Stafford,
Sorry mate, that’s meant to say since V5 !!
I am currently using V8 which as you state is really good.
