Just wondering had anyone any tips for printing Nylon Jackets with xpres nylo print, in the middle of a pain in the backside at the moment. Jackets are teflon coated by the looks of things, 100 of these to do! was tryin to stick to the 10 second down, then apply transfer for 3, let cool then press for 10, but removing transfer paper is proving v.difficult… it can’t be this difficult…. can it!? someone must have found a better way to work it!!! 😕

Hi Darren, you must have either the temp or the timing wrong. I had the same problem today with some Grafiflex, found I had accidentally nudged the heat setting up by 25 deg F. A right pain in the Jacksie it was too!

Thanks Lorraine, have digital press and have it at 160 deg, now I’m toying with different pressures, ending up at the moment with best case most of a letter sticking, and using a blade to prise the edge’s off the paper! gonna be a long evening if this is the way fwd! :banghead:

Is it definitely the nylocut vinyl from Xpres?
    Or is it NyloFlex?

    Edit:
Ooooh take that back – I never heard of Nyloprint!! Just seen it now!!!

What i did: cool the transfer paper by rubbing a steel rule over the paper, slightly cooling it. It will still be warm but should come away ok.

I’m sure the manufacturers don’t recommend using nylo-print on coated nylon. The long term durability may be a problem. Teflon = non-stick!

As was stated, Teflon = non-stick, so I´d have thought it would be impossible to print on any Teflon coated material. I do a lot of garment printing, so if anyone can, I´d be interested to know how it´s done.
Have always used the normal vinyl when printing onto nylon, and have never had any comebacks.

Just a thought …. because Teflon is non-stick, why does the spray stick?
