    Hi,

just watched the demo and noticed rob squeegees areas with alot of passes, i still occasionally get bubbles but was wondering if it is because i put down nearly the full width of the squeegee if that makes sense!!

do others find better results are achieved with say 10 passes on a graphic as opposed to say 3?

hi mate… everyone has their preference. go with what works best for you.

with regards to my passes. i cut/swipe into the vinyl with exaggerated overlaps. I’m applying dry so i cant afford to miss a pass or leave an opening in swipe sequence. it may appear to be many more passes but is much quicker and once you get the hang of it you will find it very easy.
although i use both, in that demo I’m using a felt squeegee.
ill probably get flamed for saying this but i wouldn’t recommend laying dry without using the cutting/swiping method at some point in an application.

have a look at the demo again, watch the angle of my squeegee as it plays a big part in a successful application. well for me it does anyway.. 😕 :lol1:

I pretty much learned and honed my dry application from robs video, then from some hands on by our new member Checkers.
Rob’s right, everyone is different, but to answer your question, more swipes produces better results for me… for the most part.
