    Hi

Couple of months ago I have asked her for some advices regarding making huge signs. So here is result of my work:

3D channel letters are in format 1,5m x 15m and we made two sets of this.
We have used special acrylic called BLACK & WHITE which means that during the day it’s black and over night it’s white using LED diod’s inside.

Sign from vinyl is in format 5m x 45m. Installed using soapy water.

    Regards
    Saso

I must confess that this was very hard….I spent day and night on this site for
    one month….

I hope that this will now open some new customers with this kind of projects.

Anybody from you guys did something similar?

That is a beast, well done.

I think you just need to adjust the kerning on the last two letters though 😀

Impressive Job Don… BIG… Huge letters mate. Well done!
I have never used the day/night acrylic you have used in your job, but i remember some years ago Hilton Hotels using this for their Hotel re-brand where its deep purple during the day and it is white at night.
I am guessing this will be an expensive acrylic, or is it similar priced to other good brands of acrylic? ide imagine it much more expensive but as its been out for a while im wondering if its come down in price?

thanks for taking the time to post your work mate, much appreciated.

Well Robert…one of your tutorial helped me with planning how to install such long vinyl 🙂

    Well the summary would be:

I have charged to little….50% discount from first bidding round…my goal was not as much to earn as to get reference as this is one of biggest in Slovenia.

At my workshop we have planned to install it with dry method which takes less time. On site we discovered that this is not functioning so we had to use soapy water method which takes much longer.

Robert: this acrylic was not that much expensive….3m x 2m 3mm thick was around 150€ per plate…since it’s order-able only per request price vary…at the end we had to order additional plate from France and only 1 costed almost 250€.

Cheryl: i have planned to install this just for 7 days….but now I know at least for future projects.

Site of installation is in SLOVENIA. Town is called KOPER which is actually our harbor or dock for ships on coast…

But I did this for reference…as this can be seen from 10 kilometers from highway.
