Complete spur of the moment, off to Thassos (a Greek island) in 2 weeks! I’m going to be like a cat on hot bricks.

So where are you all off to this year?

We are living in a caravan at the moment, have been for nearly a month, after selling our house, and waiting for the next home ( a pub! :lol1: ) to go through. Believe me, I so do not want ever to have a holiday in a caravan again!

Peter, its suppose to be part of your leadership training, they give you a flippin heavy rucksack to cart about and a team of new recruits and you spend a few days tramping around teaching them to map read and deal with being out in the open.

Lynn, its all about taking charge of a group of people, they try all sorts of things to try and stress you out to see how you cope and handle situations that you are not familiar with. Basically its an evaluation of how you cope when you are tired and under pressure.

    Heres my take on this

Shane seams like a nice guy, he has helped me out in the past and obviously with 7000 posts has helped a few others out too.

Solution – we all chuck a tenner in the bring shane to sign uk 2008 fund, Rob could hold it all official like before you know it Shane would be here!

What do you all think we could hit rob with loads of cheques at this years sign uk to save a stamp and get the party started

I’m truly humbled (and more than a little embarrassed) by this suggestion friends….

Playa de’n bossa is where the night club Space is and bora bora beach

Went there last year, it is where the party carries on after the night has ended.
Nice place but not that relaxing, good luck with sleeping

    Hi All

Getting married in July and just been told that I have to book our honeymoon as apparently she’s too busy with wedding arrangements and I don’t even help around the house etc etc.:nagnag:

We’ve decided on the lakes in Italy which is fine, but as Carol works for a airline I’m bound to c*ck something up and will hear about it for a long, long time. 😥

Been together 15 years now and I’m starting to think that I’m rushing into this 😀

Nick, not sure whether to congratulate you or commiserate :lol1:

If Carol works for an airline I would have thought that she could arrange something far better than you could or maybe you could get one of her friends to organise something for you, muck up the honeymoon plans and you will never hear the last of it :lol1:

Personally I would wait a few more years just to make sure you are really compatible but I may be a bit biased 🙄

Nick, take it from me mate, if you can’t get it right after 15 years…you’re no different to most other blokes…. welcome to the club…. :lol1:

My advice? Don’t get your hopes up that it will change after you get a certificate .. 😉

Congratulations by the way. Been married 24 years… still trying to be the perfect husband…

Thought I had it worked out last year. Purchased her a tree trimmer for her wedding anniversary…. Kept mumbling something about cutting me down to size… The year before, I bought her a mower…. she didn’t appreciate it.

Last year she bought me a pink nightie with matching slippers. I don’t know what she was thinking….

Yeah thats it, Space is the party in the open air, I never did get to that one as it’s nearer Ibiza Town if I recall, San Antonio is the party place and I only ended up at a few places including Bora Bora and Es Paradis tropical club that fills with water, absolutely brilliant night called Festa del Aqua

Well I’m dead excited. We’ve just booked a week (at the end of June) in a private villa in Spain about an hours drive from Marbella. We’ve also booked a convertible Peugeot 307CC to drive around in all week (I couldn’t get a Chrylser 300C ) but I’m really looking forward to it all 😀

Nice one Phill. I’m sure you will both have a good time. Don’t worry about the Chrysler, they don’t come in open top so the Peugeot is probably the better tool for the job.

We were told on Saturday that a friend who is fifty next year has booked a chateau in the Dordogne for a week to celebrate the occasion. All we have to do is to get ourselves there and the rest of the expense is on him. A very nice gesture I thought.

Ah well, can’t sit here gossiping all day. I’ve got to go and pack my bike ready for departure to Luxembourg on Thursday. 😎

We’ve booked a car from the 300C or similar range for our drive from Las Vegas so we are hoping the Chrysler is what we’ll get.

Ha! Beat you to it John Boy. 😀

Bike is packed and I’m away in about an hour.

I don’t suppose there’ll be an internet connection in the chateau, so I’ll see you all in about ten days. *drink*

Marcella, pray for ambient temperatures below the melting point of chocolate. 😀
