This is a Nice wee job we did in Rotherham a few weeks ago,
Grey ACM with 10mm push thought acrylic backlit with V180 Sloan Leds.
Pillars, Corners etc all folded on Site to suit and give a seamless look

I think it made a huge difference to the building 😀

    Hi Glen,
All the main trays are CNC’d here, folded ACM Reinforced with 50mm ally angle, glued into folds with Trueflex (Polyurethane) glue,
Back Panels are made to suit, with a return to meet the ally Angle supports on the trays, and then you only need a minimum amount of Pan Head screw to hold in place.
The pillars are first formed in Treated timber and WBP Ply on site, the ACM is fabricated using a Festool PF1200 (A must for anyone fabricating ACM on Site) to suit each pillar, scribed to returns etc.
A small trace of Trueflex down the sides and a few screw just to be sure.

Classy work as always Ian – this example just shows what can be achieved by someone with the vision and ability to design good tasteful signage. Well done 😀

Like the others im really impressed with the transformation – a real wow factor

one concern would be how well the ACM will stand up to crashes from the mobility scooters etc 😕

Well done though a job for the album 😀

Great work Ian & as others have said shows just what can be done. I would imagine a lot of people (myself included) would have just gone with replacing the facia/windows. Things like pillars wouldn’t really have been considered.

Funny you say about the mobility scooter John, 2 weeks after it opened with the new refit inside, an old lady with a mobility scooter wrecked the inside of the shop doing £20k of damage to the furniture, glass screens, gondulas, and amtico flooring when she had it in high gear!!!!!

With the pillars we form a 18mm ply back and laminate it with the Acm , yes it will still dent a little, but so would aluminium etc but using the ply to reniforce it
    prevents major problems.
