What a privilege for John Anthony Signs to work for the world’s most popular football club – and to be entrusted with the signage at the internationally famous “theatre of dreams.”

Their relationship with Manchester United Football Club goes back to 2001 when they first worked at Old Trafford in collaboration with the Building Design Partnership. The wide range of external signs they produced included 10 x five-metre totems around the perimeter, high level illuminated letters, signage for the three large car parks and turnstile directional signs.

All these original signs are still in place. They’re still doing their job, and still withstanding the British weather. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why John Anthony Signs have been the sole supplier at the stadium now for ten years.

When the club developed its latest executive facilities, the Quadrants – a massive hospitality complex over eight storeys with restaurants, bars, lounges, executive seating and pitch-side boxes – John Anthony Signs took care of the wayfinding signs to ensure the buildings are easy to navigate and visitor-friendly.

They have looked after projects at many other sports stadia too – including the Emirates where we produced the two stunning 3.5 metre high crests on display at either end of the food hall.
