jaguar signpal 1320 windows xp ?

decided to upgrade the pc running the 1320 jaguar cutter
from 98 to xp
with a new pc so installed the software no problem dongle in
plugged cutter in but not finding it cutter is fine as i plugged it back into the old pc with the dongle and no problems i have matched the settings but still no joy
am i missing something

i have installed it and gone through all the set up boxes and matched them up.
only thing i can think of not being a techi
when it is plugged in pc would normaly flash up new hardware installed
but i get no message, the packaging has xp version ticked also.Derek

might just be an update i am still able to cut just re loaded on old pc

Just an update my pc s com1 port has died i have just been informed.
