    Can anyone help please.

Im cutting some Jac signmaking vinyl on my Mimaki CS 60SL and cant seem to get a detailed finish on the cutting. Either the edge of the lettering is not crisp or the blade cuts right thro the vinyl. I keep changing the settings but with no luck.

Is there a standard setting I should stick to for this type of vinyl

    Thank you

dunno how the mimaki works (pressure wise) but a rough guide….

blade depth, wind the blade out until you feel it pressing into your finger tip, usually about .6mm, 1mm is more than enough.

blade pressure, if it measures it in grammes, as my summa does, then anything between 80 (new blade) and 180 (older blade on reflective), start low and do small test cuts, then repeat until it’s cutting right, ideally it wants to cut the vinyl and leave a mark, but not score through the release liner / backing.

do all that and get it right before you commit it to the job.
