Can anyone help me! A local florist popped into my shop today and asked me to do 3 of her vans. She gave me her logo and it incorporates a yellowy mustard colour. I have scanned all the literature and cannot find anything to match. Is there anyway I can get this colour matched without screenprinting?

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

try getting some cast swatches mate.
i spent a small fortune on a golden yellow mustard type colour of vinyl by 3M. 4 weeks later i received colour swatches for oracals 851 cast range. geuss what? the colour was in there and a fraction of the cost. 😕
most suppliers do a cast range. you will find more variation on colours etc looking at cast swatches. try europoint on that particular shade. my guess is its the one i was after and i tried lots of swatches. 🙄

The only other way I know of is to get the vinyl made. The trouble is that you will have to order 250 metres 1220 wide minimum quantity.

As there are only three vans I would stick with the print. 😀

Eric I had the same problem with mustard yellow match a while back
I had searched all the swatches for a yellow but I eventually found it at ultramark 5700 under the name of imitation gold G 19

if you can find someone with an edge you can ask if they can spectratone the colour. this is a method where one spot colour foil is overprinted onto another, creating many different shades of colours, some matching to pantone numbers. the only downside is that the print height is only 299mm high, if you were to try this i would telephone spandex and ask tech support if this colour can be achieved using this method, if so find someone with an edge and see if you can get trade discount.
