    Hi,

I might be looking for something that doesn’t exist, but I’m looking for opticaly clear coloured vinyl with a good UV tolerance and prefeably cast! I’m not sure if this is all too much to ask in a product! It’s to do some temporary repairs on some stained glass windows on a church while they raise the money to have it all done properly..Even window film would do, but it must survive UV exposure! I’ve explored the window film avenue on a few occasions, but only ever found it in the states in any range of colours that are none reflective. There are a couple of colours available here, but not a wide enough range. (That I can find anyway!)

    Thanks in advance

    Adam

try DQS double quick supples. they have depots all over…
they will give you the proper alternative in various colours and also marble finishes. they have 10 year gaurnatee on them but arent vinyl as such, it is a polyester type film.
companies like, X-film, europoint and i think metamark do transparent coloured films but arent cast. i think they are 3 years max… i have used them in the past for windows but are made different and not just as clear as the DQS films, but still acceptable. you will pay about £6-£10 for a 30inch by 20 inch sheet from DQS. (doesnt come in rolls)

Apparently, a company called Rennicks do an overlay sheet in optically clear in red, blue green and yellow but not sure if they do any other colours.

Got the number of a rep that deals with Stockport Council if it helps.

His name is Tony Marsh on 07884 310 464.

Just say you got his name and number from pete at Stockport Council Sign Shop.
