  • Is there a way of saving ripped versaworks files?

Posted by Martin Armitage on 4 November 2008 at 09:28

At the moment I have 500meters of files that open every time I use versaworks, I would like to save the ripped versions for future consistency and to save the 5 minutes it now takes to open the program.
    Thanks
    Mart.

if you look at the lower left were rip and print is you have a save button, make sure you save as the right thing though.

using SAVE wont save the ripped data, but it will save an xml file with all the settings for that particular job. this way can be better as ripped files are massive.

make sure the images linked in the save file are left in the same location or vw wont find them when you open the RVW file. it will prompt you to browse for it though.

multiple jobs can be saved and used as a backup for a particular day for example.

I’ve copied them out of the Job folder before. especial for car wraps or jobs where I’ve used tiling.
