been yahooooing to see what you mean and its not a vinyl you require.
some of those stencils are 3mm thick which i would have thought was not help full for air brushing.
some polyester films have water based glue but would be to aggressive to go on and off skin.

i could not find a supplier but i would start with a Mylar type film overhead projector stuff and spray a suitable adhesive on to the reverse side.
all the designs i saw would enable re-use most cutters can cut this film may require 2 lighter passes and a protector sheet underneath.

    just a idea

I would start by calling Edward Mathias who make plotter blades, what the guy doesn’t know about plotter blades and different materials you can cut isn’t worth knowing.

Be warned though, make yourself a cup of tea and get comfy before you dial as it may be a long phone call !!!!!!!!

Thanks for reply chris. I do have some stencils that seem to be some kind of polyester/mylar and for certain aplications they are fine,But most of my stencils are some kind of pvc/vinyl without any adhesive coating. These are much more flexible so better for anywhere not completely flat ie. most of the body. I also have some stencils from Australia which are very flexible, less than 1mm and adhesive. I have spoken to the supplier but they will not tell me what the material is for obvious reasons. May be one of the OZ members can help? Priorities are flexibility, durability and adhesive. Any Ideas? Mike

    Hi Mike

I work for an entertainment company and do temp tattoo stencils – I use Venture 480 Sandblast Masking film and it works a treat – just make sure you are using the correct blade and force depending on your cutter
