    hi all,

i’ve got to colour change a car for a customer who want a matt black finish so need a conformable vinyl. i’ve tried our usual suppliers but no luck.

    any ideas if this exists??

    thanks in advance

for a short term image perfect 5700 mat black conforms very well. and very easy to work with.
i done some bits on my van with it yesterday but dont know how long it would last.

    hi chris,

thanks for the reply. it’s going to be long term application of at least 1 year..

i’ll look into that range and see what it is. thanks for the info.

    Rick,
Have, you thought about using normal cast vinyl with a matt laminate?

I think Grafytyp may do a suitable laminate?

    hi Peter,

not sure if cast will conform to the side of the car correct esp places like the wing mirrors. Generally we have always used a conformable coloured or printed vinyl in the past.

do you think cast will be ok?

A good cast should be ok especially if laminated,
but take the manufacturers guidance, about suitability with the matt laminate. and try a sample to see if you get the required mattiness (new word)

Both Oracle 751 and 851 series cast vinyls are available in matt black.
