is there a formula or chart for calculating light output?
Many years ago I had a chart I think was issued by ICI for calculating light output through opal acrylic.
I need to calculate and supply to a planning dept the candlelas per sq metre on a sign installation.
Any help would be appreciated. I have already tried google with no luck. -

If it’s for a planning application you don’t need to quote the actual light output just confirm that it won’t exceed a certain amount (200 candelas per square metre).
