is there a corel plugin to cut direct from Corel 9?
Posted by Martin Armitage on 13 April 2004 at 15:20We cut from coreldraw 7 to a pc60 for us it is just a matter of telling the printer( in printer properties ) what to cut by ie line width/colour and then making sure that the output you want to cut has these attributes. Hope this helps

DL the roland driver for your plotter and you can cut direct form Corel , be aware Corel is NOT the ideal package as it does not interpolate 100% corrctly , but it’s pretty cheap and we have had no reason to use much else – you can do anything with some jumping thru hoops.
dunno if this will show http://www.rolanddga.com or type inhttp://www.rolanddga.com – look under support (legacy products or current) -
Hi Rod
You dont say how this is possible could you expand on this i have corell 12Thanks Dave

Yes it’s Co-Cut…
http://www.cocut.com/index.dml
I am going to be getting it soon. I use CorelDraw 11 all the time and the Plotter Driver I have works but as a separate program importing Corel files. Co-Cut works within Corel, try the demo…

I’ve seen Sign Tools 3 mentioned a lot.
To me this would be the ideal answer, as the additional plug-ins seem to be done inside corel itself ? Allowing the changes to be saved as a
Corel file.Corel’s biggest problem is the way it handles shadows, etc. Co-Cut etc seem to only allow you control the cutting side of things
where as Sign Tools 3 has gone that bit further and looked at Corel’s faults and made it ideal for the sign maker ?I don’t own sign tools and would like feedback from people who do.
Been looking at their web site, downloaded demo, can’t get it to work inside Corel 11 – xp. Also got version 12, would it work ?
Is the product available to download ? purchased in the uk ?
Thanks in advance

I downloaded the Signtools 3 Demo and have tried it with Corel V10 on W2000 – parts worked ok – drop shadow/with outline but the blocking shadow just gave me an error message. I suspect it is scripts that streamlines and automates functions that Corel can do. I think Co-Cut pro (now available apparently for V12) has more sign and silk screen related functions but is more expensive. My opinion of Signtools was a good add on to Corel although it does need the HPGL filter and VBA to be installed so I’m not sure if you need to change the language setting that Summa of Graphtec use to HPGL.

Hi there
I have had a lot of err FUN 😥 trying to get my ageing roland to
cut from Corel 11 and after many calls, e-mails to roland finally found
someone who knew what they were doing. He sent me a list of settings and adjustment which turned my cutter
from an expensive paperweight into a businessOne of the most important things i have found is to set the outlines
of objects to be cut to .001 (in inches). This made all the difference. If your still having probs i will e-mail you the info he sent me in full
hope this helps
