    hi all

is there really a big difference between the vp540 and sp540, i have a friend who has one for sale at a good price (so iv been told) and whats the going rate for sp540 which is my current machine. did originally want to upgrade to a mimaki JV33 printer cutter bundle (1600) but couldn’t justify the interest/deposit the were asking for.

    thanks in advance

as far as i can remember needs looking up
the vp has one hole head per colour = 4 heads
the sp had half a head per colour = 2 heads
result more coverage per pass of printing = faster printing but only if set up correctly else you end up running it in a higher quality mode to hide the faulty set up.

    thanks for that chris

one of the issues with the sp540 we have had is the carriage cable and guides folds into itself does anyone know if this has been overcome with the vp
