is there a big difference between the vp540 and sp540
hi all
is there really a big difference between the vp540 and sp540, i have a friend who has one for sale at a good price (so iv been told) and whats the going rate for sp540 which is my current machine. did originally want to upgrade to a mimaki JV33 printer cutter bundle (1600) but couldn’t justify the interest/deposit the were asking for.

as far as i can remember needs looking up
the vp has one hole head per colour = 4 heads
the sp had half a head per colour = 2 heads
result more coverage per pass of printing = faster printing but only if set up correctly else you end up running it in a higher quality mode to hide the faulty set up. -

one of the issues with the sp540 we have had is the carriage cable and guides folds into itself does anyone know if this has been overcome with the vp
