    Hellooo!
Does anyone know whether there is a basic price for a canal boat! I have never written one before but I reckon I could get a canal boat looking really smart with some gold leaf and shadows, etc!

    Hi AJ

When I paint canal boats I just charge an hourly rate and if using gold leaf charge extra for the amount of gold you use.

Pricing was so much easier when everything was painted cos all there was was a labour charge and a couple of quid for paint.

    The good ole’ days

    Cheers Neil

Arthur Vanson does these all the time and is an excellent signwriter.
    Perhaps call him for advice?
    He’s a good friend.
He lives in Buckinghamshire and owns Bucks Sign Co.

As with most things its not an exact science

Work out whether its going to take you one or two days to do and work out your worth as a ‘terrific’ ‘no one can touch him’ signwriter
