I was wondering if it would be possible to print A0 (33") width on a 30 inch printer??

I know it sounds a bit of a stupid question here but what i’m trying to get at here is as long as it prints as 30" but the media can enter the machine then it will leave the margins but i get to print on the A0 size if that makes sense.

so would the 33" media enter the machine of my roland sp300??

    thanks all 🙂

I know that on my 540 that takes 1350mm rolls I can put through about 1470mm wide material.

Dunno about the 300…but surely you can tell just by loading some 30" and seeing if there’s 3" to spare?

    Hi matty,

as i said just wanted to make sure it would be safe and ask first. media may fit but if somehow it gets caught as the head passes by or something.

the printer will only print to its max width, regardless of the media size.
so no you cant print wider than it is designed for.
Are you still trying to get something for nothing?

If the border area is white I can see no reason why a vinyl width of 33" couldn’t be fed through the printer? Naturally it will only print up to 29" but if the design has a 2" white border then I can’t see why not .

Hi all i reckon 32and 3/8 max there are 2 screws on the front plate that stick up a bit that may cause u some problems otherwise it will accept 33 inch in through the rear of the of the printer, hope this helps
    Cheers
