Hi all i have a simple question,

Is it okay and stable to use flat cut letters on locators on foamex?? or must this only be done on acrylic or composite panels?? would the screw come away in time as the foamex is made of compressed foam or would it be okay??

    thank you

Why would you want to Phillip? If the customer is prepared to pay for flat cut letters then surely they are prepared to pay a little more to have them mounted onto a decent substrate.
If you are fitting flat cuts on a facia though & using locators then the screw would go through the acrylic or composite & into the backing anyway, you wouldn’t try & secure the locators to 3mm composite panel.

    Hi Phillip,
we use flat cut foamex (palight etc) with plastic cups a lot, 10mm is the minimum width i would recommend or when the sun hits 5mm it can warp and cause problems, 20mm is the best in our opinion.

    cheers

    Dan
