• Is it busy?

January, as long as I can remember (19 years) in the sign trade is generally a quiet time of year but this January we have invoiced twice as much as we do on any good month during the year 😆 . This is busiest we have been since starting up four years ago so what I would like to know is it a London thing or is it as busy where you are?

Bl**dy hell! I’m quieter than usual just now and yet everyone else is busy. I must be upsetting too many clients with my blunt repartee 😕

We have picked up three big orders from new customers via recommendation/seen work we have done and most of the rest has been repeat so why am I spending nearly £7000 on advertising with yellow pages 😕 . Only joking yellow pages is the only thing we advertise in that I would recommend 😀

Busy on print, hectic on design jobs, epson 9000 working flat out on posters, signwork quiet.

But, moving to the new bigger unit end of Feb so hopefully that will change.

    😥 😥

Can I be the big softy who whinges because his shop isn’t open for this flurry of Janruary trade? 😕 Guess who’ll be painting til late 😉 😉

Really good to hear you’re all doing well, especially Martin. I remember seeing a post saying you were struggling in December, hopefully this month will be a sign of things to come Martin and you’ll prosper throughout the year. 😀

Phill, a nice little sideline in dubiously titled certificates is the way to go 😉 Rightsigns Approved Vinyl Applicators will be everywhere 😀 😉

    Cheers, Dewi

I’ve been inundated with the single mug and T-shirt brigade of late but it’s been intermingled with some odd yet lucrative specials.

Currently quoting for 100 plus pairs of branded Boxing Gloves as a giveaway! Picked up 3 vehicles and some shirts to do next week, weather permitting. 4 smallish signs last week and a few odds and ends.

I guess that makes me busy too!

Yep, i’m busy too – I just keep on blundering through the forest of work and hope nobody has secretly dug a big hole in front of me 😀

Seriously though, I have had the odd quiet Jan in the past, but this one seems pretty good to me. Certainly well on track for a good year if this continues.

Hope others are a fortunate as me 😉

Well that is good to hear. I am even going to be working on Sunday 👿
now that can’t be right. I am hoping to complete a 5.9m casette awning and fascia with stand off letters & lighting for a customer in Sunningdale this weekend and a nice set of pink halo lit neon letters next week so hopefully some nice pictures to follow! 😀
